Con il comunicato stampa di seguito allegato, Matrox Graphics ha annunciato la prossima disponibilità commerciale delle schede grafiche low-profile Matrox M9138 e Matrox M9148 che, in accordo alla loro denominazione, vanno ad ampliare la Serie M del card maker canadese.

Entrambi i contoller grafici, che hanno una interfaccia con il mondo di tipo PCI-Express x16, sono equipaggiati con 1GB di RAM e sono dotati di 3 (Matrox M9138) e 4 (Matrox M9148) uscite DisplayPort mediante le quali possono gestire altrettanti monitor inviando ad ognuno di essi un segnale video con risoluzione pari a 2560x1600.

Matrox aggiunge che queste schede grafiche sono consigliate per qualisiasi applicazione di business in ambito mulit-monitor e che esse fanno della assenza del dissipatore attivo un considerevole punto di forza poichè questa feature assicura una bassa (nulla, ndr) rumorosità operativa e maggiore affidabilità rispetto alle soluzioni che includono un dissipatore con ventola.
