E' di ASUS la prima video card dotata di tre gpu ad arrivare sul mercato: lo ha reso noto lo stesso produttore taiwanense mediante il comunicato stampa di seguito allegato. La nuova EAH3850 TRINITY/3DHTI/1.5G è costruita infatti intorno a tre processori grafici RV670PRO, meglio noti con la sigla commerciale di Radeon HD 3850, aventi una frequenza di clock di 660MHz e a cui sono stati abbinati 1.5Gb di RAM G-DDR3 a 1.7Ghz. L'interfaccia tra ciascuna gpu e la memoria on board è a 256-bit.

In accordo al produttore, l'incremento prestazionale offerto da questa card rispetto ad una soluzione a gpu singola (alla risoluzione di 1600x1200) è pari al 139%; a fare la differenza, però, con gli altri prodotti Radeon based, di ASUS e non, è, oltre al numero atipico di GPU che impone naturalmente una personalizzazione molto spinta del PCB, il sistema di raffreddamento a liquido, che si avvale di heat-pipe in grado di spostare il calore prodotto dalle gpu dallo spazio in prossimità del PCB fino alla generosa ventola.

Exclusively Designed Hardware Features
The EAH3850 TRINITY comes with the MXM module design that allows users to obtain the flexibility to upgrade the MXM VGA module in regards to GPU and memory size with lower costs. The EAH3850 TRINITY also utilizes a specially designed water cooling solution that effectively dissipates heat away from the three GPUs through heatpipes that are specially connected to the main board of the graphics card instead of the GPUs.
