In risposta all'annuncio della ATI Radeon HD 4890 effettuato da AMD, NVIDIA ha lanciato la
gpu GeForce GTX 275. In accordo alle dichiarazioni del produttore, la GeForce GTX 275, di cui segue una foto, è una variante della consolidata
architettura GT200: integra 240 stream processor che lavorano a 1404MHz e 80 texture processor. NVIDIA ha scelto la dimensione di 896MB per il frame buffer
mentre l'ampiezza del bus che collega quest'ultimo al core grafio è a 448-bit.
Per prezzo e prestazioni, la GeForce GTX 275 si colloca tra la GeForce GTX 260 e la GeForce GTX 285; tra le tecnologie supportate NVIDIA ha citato le
proprietarie PhysX, CUDA e 3D Vision; per l'occasione il chip maker statunitense ha anche annunciato il GeForce Power Pack 3, che include una patch e una
demo in onore di PhysX e due applicazioni CUDA-based, MotionDSP vReveal e SETI@home.
La nuova card arriverà ufficialmente sul mercato il prossimo 14 Aprile, anche se in alcune nazioni è già reperibile in commercio. Questo l'elenco ufficiale
dei board maker che implementeranno schede grafiche con gpu GeForce GTX 275: ASUS, BFG, Colorful, EVGA, Gainward, Galaxy, Gigabyte, Innovision, Leadtek, MSI,

What: NVIDIA today announced the GeForce GTX 275 GPU, the latest addition to NVIDIA’s performance GPU lineup, offering
first-rate graphics, physics, and GPU computing performance, as well as the absolute best price-performance for today’s value-conscious gamers.
Based on the GT200 architecture, the GeForce GTX 275 GPU features 240 processor cores operating at 1404 MHz, 80 texture processing units,
a 448-bit memory interface, and an 896 MB framebuffer. In price and performance, it sits between the GeForce GTX 260 and the GeForce GTX 285.

The GeForce GTX 275 is being announced alongside the availability of the new GeForce Power Pack #3, which includes a host of free, new

- Three new applications that take advantage of PhysX hardware acceleration, including a custom PhysX patch for Ascaron’s Sacred 2: Fallen Angel; a
never-before-seen demo and benchmark for Star Tales, a highly ambitious social networking game from the acclaimed Chinese developer QWD1; and the
source code to the PhysX screensaver for community modding and distribution.
- Two new CUDA-accelerated applications, including MotionDSP vReveal and SETI@home.
