Con il comunicato stampa di seguito allegato ASUS ha annunciato la nuova linea di motherboard ASUS Absolute Pitch, dedicate agli audiofili e finalizzate alla realizzazione di HTPC (Home Theater PC), che al momento include due soluzioni siglate M4A785G HTPC/RC e M4A785G HTPC.

Entrambe le nuove mobo sono basate sulla coppia di chipset AMD 785G (northbridge) e SB710 (southbridge) e supportano i processori AMD con socket AM3, AM2+ e AM2 (inclusi i recenti AM3 Phenom II). Inoltre sono equipaggiabili con un massimo di 16GB di memoria RAM di tipo DDR2 a 1200MHz(O.C.), 1066MHz, 800MHz e 667MHz al variare della possibile cpu installata.

Sono tre le tecnologie audio proprietarie con cui ASUS ha equipaggiato queste schede madri. La DTS Surround Sensation UltraPC permette di riprodurre l'acustica di un teatro nel salotto di casa, la ENVY HD rende disponibili 10 canali audio in uscita mentre la BD 192/24 ottimizza la resa dei film su Blu-ray, rispettando la dinamica del segnale audio in alta definizione.
