Con il comunicato stampa di seguito allegato, Corsair ha annunciato l'ampliamento della linea di drive a stato solido Nova Series SSD con l'introduzione delle soluzioni 32GB Nova Series SSD e 256GB Nova Series SSD, entrambe dotate del controller Indilinx Barefoot e compatibili con il comando TRIM usato da Microsoft Windows 7.
In accordo al produttore, l'unità 32GB Nova Series SSD, la cui capacità è pari a 32GB, è caratterizzata da un ottimo rapporto performance/prezzo; è molto versatile, potendo essere utilizzata sia come device di boot che come elemento di una configurazione RAID. Questo drive vanta una velocità massima in lettura pari a 195MB/s e una velocità massima in scrittura pari a 75MB/s.
Il disco 256GB Nova Series SSD è invece orientato ai sistemi ad alte prestazioni che, nel contempo, devono garantire una elevata capacità di memorizzazione dei dati, pari nello specifico a 256GB. Le velocità massime in lettura e in scrittura sono pari rispettivamente a 250MB/s e 195MB/s.
