Oltre alla motherboard ROG Rampage III Black Edition, ASUS ha attirato l'attenzione dei gamer e degli overclocker "enthusiast" mostrando al CeBIT 2011 anche la video card high-end denominata ROG MATRIX GTX 580, una soluzione basata sulla gpu GeForce GTX 580 di NVIDIA a cui il board maker taiwanense ha abbinato numerose tecnologie proprietarie che esaltano le prestazioni in ambito gaming e semplificano l'overclock dell'hardware.

Tra queste, ASUS stessa ha segnalato TweakIt (permette la variazione della tensione di polarizzazione della CPU in tempo reale), ProbeIt (monitora la tensione rilevata nei punti cardine del circuito) e una versione aggiornata dell'utility GPU Tweak, che permette il controllo delle frequenze di clock, della velocità delle ventole e delle tensioni.

Il cooler dual-fan della ROG MATRIX GTX 580 di ASUS è realizzato secondo il design DirectCU II, in accordo al quale le heat pipe sono in contatto diretto con la GPU, al fine di massimizzare l'assorbimento dell'energia termica da essa generata. Le due ventole del dissipatore sono in grado di incrementare la circolazione dell'aria di circa il 600% rispetto alle soluzioni standard, mentre il boost dell'efficienza di raffreddamento raggiunge il 20%.
