ZOTAC International ha ampliato di recente la propria linea di video card AMP! Edition con la soluzione non reference denominata ZOTAC GeForce GTX 780 AMP! Edition.
Il nuovo prodotto di ZOTAC è essenzialmente una video card factory-overclocked che presenta il core grafico della gpu GeForce GTX 780 di NVIDIA configurato a 1006MHz (valore di base); tale frequenza cresce poi in automatico fino al valore massimo di 1059MHz in virtù del supporto della tecnologia GPU Boost 2.0.
Anche il frame buffer, implementato con 3GB di RAM G-DDR5, lavora a una frequenza di clock non aderente al valore previsto dal design reference: il suo clock effettivo, infatti, essendo pari a 6208MHz, risulta essere superiore del 3% rispetto al corrispondente valore reference. Il bus che collega la gpu alla memoria on board è naturalmente a 384-bit.
La stabilità operativa della ZOTAC GeForce GTX 780 AMP! Edition, sia in regime di overclocking predefinito che a seguito di ulteriori configurazioni di tuning eseguite dall'utente, viene conseguita facendo ricorso a un cooler non reference, basato sulla tecnologia proprietaria ZOTAC Triple Silencer.
In accordo a Zotac utilizzando tre ventole particolarmente silenziose, questo sistema di raffreddamento è in grado di ridurre di 10°C la temperatura della gpu e di 15dB il livello di rumore rispetto ai parametri analoghi esibiti dal cooler reference, a parità di condizioni operative.
