E' Sapphire il primo partner AIB di AMD in grado di annunciare una video card dual-gpu di classe Radeon R9 295X2 caratterizzata da una configurazione non reference e, più in dettaglio, di tipo factory-overclocked.

Il core grafico delle gpu della nuova SAPPHIRE R9 265X2 OC lavora, infatti, a 1030MHz (il corrispondente valore reference è pari a 1018MHz) e il frame buffer (2 x 4GB di G-DDR5) a 5200MHz (il corrispondente valore reference è pari a 5000MHz).

A meno della confezione, che in questo caso è rappresentata da un box metallico, la restante dotazione della SAPPHIRE R9 265X2 OC coincide con quella della versione reference, la SAPPHIRE R9 295X2: in accordo al comunicato stampa del produttore, sono in corso le spedizioni ai distributori di entrambe le video card.

Ciascuna delle due gpu a 28nm Hawaii integra 2816 stream processor, 176 TMU e 64 ROP, mentre il bus che la collega al frame buffer dedicato è a 512-bit.

The SAPPHIRE R9 295X2 OC is a Limited Edition which features a factory overclock to the faster clock speeds of 1030MHz core and 5200MHz for the 8GB of on-board high speed GDDR5 memory. It will be delivered in a high quality aluminium carry case. The SAPPHIRE R9 295X2 will ship with the slightly lower clocks of 1018MHz core and 5000MHz for the memory. Both models qualify for the Gold Tier of the recently updated AMD Never Settle Forever promotion, which entitles users to a free game bundle of three games or game packages if the card is purchased from a participating retailer.*

Both SAPPHIRE R9 295X2 graphics cards come equipped with an advanced hybrid cooling solution that includes a closed-loop, pre-assembled and maintenance-free liquid cooling system. Developed jointly with AMD by Asetek, a leading provider and designer of PC liquid cooling products, this solution delivers cool temperatures, quiet operation and consistent performance even under demanding loads.

In addition to support for the latest 4K monitors, the SAPPHIRE R9 295X2 can easily drive up to five high resolution monitors using AMD Eyefinity – a high resolution multi-display solution that is easy to set up and allows games or other applications to run across multiple monitors in a single logical surface (SLS). Complementing the high resolution visual display is AMD TrueAudio technology. The SAPPHIRE R9 295X2 features a dedicated audio processor to provide richer, more realistic and better spatially located soundscapes through any stereo output devices and delivering a more immersive gaming experience.
