Acer ha annunciato - mediante il comunicato stampa allegato di seguito - la realizzazione e la disponibilità, al momento solo in Nord America, del notebook Aspire 9800 (cfr. foto seguente), un prodotto fortemente caratterizzato dalla dotazione di un display LCD da 20.1" in tecnologia proprietaria CrystalBrite. Quest'ultima consente la visualizzazione di colori brillanti e di immagini particolarmente definite e, in ultima analisi, esalta la percezione della modalità High Definition, pienamente fruibile in virtù del lettore di HD-DVD inserito da Acer in questa unità mobile in cui è presente inoltre un sintonizzatore TV ibrido analogico/digitale.
Di ottimo livello risulta essere la componentistica in esso integrata: il processore Intel Centrino Duo, la memoria RAM DDR2 espandibile fino a 4Gb, il chip grafico nVIDIA GeForce Go 7600 e il disco rigido da 240Gb (con il supporto della configurazione RAID 1 che dimezza la capacità di memorizzazione complessiva ma incrementa la protezione dei dati) assicurano ottime prestazioni con la multimedialità ed i game di ultima generazione.
