ASUS ha presentato al CeBIT la linea di monitor EzLink che include display LCD caratterizzati non soltanto da un ridotto consumo di potenza ma anche, e soprattutto, dal supporto di una connettività di tipo wireless con il PC. I nuovi modelli sono siglati VH192C e VH196.

Gli utenti possono collegare il monitor al sistema (o host) attraverso una Wireless Host Controller Interface (WHCI) o una Wireless USB Host Wire Adapter (HWA): in accorro al produttore questa topologia non determina perdite nella qualità del segnale rispetto all'approccio classico, che come è noto, è di tipo wireline.

I monitor VH192C e VH196 sono anche amici dell'ambiente poichè, oltre a ridurre il consumo di potenza, sono fabbricati con una tecnica che prevede l'impiego di una minore quantità di mercurio rispetto alle soluzioni tradizionali.

Il produttore non ha indicato nè il periodo di lancio nè la fascia di prezzo in cui saranno collocate le due device.
